It all began
over 30 years ago, and has since evolved into a Dallas institution,
catering to the young, up and coming single and married professionals.
The Village is considered one of the landmark multiple apartment
fixtures in Texas and the United States.
A premier development
of 14 distinct apartment communities, is bounded by four of Dallas'
busiest boulevards: Northwest Highway to the north, Skillman Avenue
to the east, Greenville Avenue to the west, and Lovers Lane to the
south.
Enjoying the
status of a "city within a city", it is centrally located within
two blocks of North Central Expressway and five miles north
of downtown Dallas. It is the prime apartment location for residents
with professional careers who work in the central downtown business
district, Preston Center, or the office corridors of
North Central Expressway and LBJ Freeway. It is also within minutes
of the major employment centers of Baylor Medical Center
and The Presbyterian Medical Complex.
The Greenville
Avenue western boundary highlights seven miles of popular restaurants,
bars, nightclubs, and theaters. In addition, Greenville Avenue plays
host to one of Dallas' most unique concepts in retail shopping,
The Village's Old Town Shopping Center. Sporting a patio-mall
environment, Old Town is rivaled only by the nearby North Park,
which was Dallas' first regional shopping mall.
The Village's
popular location is further accentuated by public transportation
bus stops throughout the community. Dallas Area Rapid Transit(DART)
has 2 routes that will take residents to and from local Dart Rail
stations in the area.
